Wedding Shot Glasses for Manly Favors

For the "S" wedding that I planned last year, the bride and groom wanted custom favors at the reception for all the male guest. We found these great straight sided shot  glasses and had them etched by a local crafts-person. The bride and I attended the etching session and got to experience the process. My daughter used the same idea and we created a poem to stand up in the shot glass:
Cheers!
Take a shot !
Chris & Hanna tied the knot !
This Thank You Glass is yours to own,
Don' forget to take it home !
So eat, drink, be merry and send them good wishes,,,
Add lots of love & kisses for the new Mr. & Mrs !

Sorry that it has been so long since my last post! Many things have been happening at home and on my computer!

First,-I resigned from the Creatively-Green Design Team because management was at a "Stand-Still" as far as orders and creativity was concerned. I am looking for ways to move forward not backward. So ---I am now a contributor over at http://createitgreen.blogspot.com/

At home-

Both of my daughters are involved in buying real estate so I have been out house hunting and having a great time! So- exciting!!! I'll be sharing their home decorating creations in the near future!

Hanna's Prom

Here is 2 of the pics we took of Hanna and her boyfriend, Jonathon, last Friday, March 22,2008 for Prom. The event was originally cancelled on the 15th after the tornadoes torn through Atlanta the night before and destroyed the area around the Merchandise Mart. The Dance was relocated at the Fox Theater, but many of their other arrangements weren't able to be moved. It all worked out and Hanna looked Beautiful!

Painting for Dad

My sister, Andrea and I traveled to Alabama yesterday to visit our Dad. Our once a year visit was to celebrate his birthday and exchange holiday gifts.(He was born the same day that Hubert Hover was elected!) I created this painting for him. It is an interpetation of his childhood home in West Nyack, New York. I called it "The House on Demorest Mill Lane"! You will see another on Ebay soon!

Mindy is Hired!

Cox Communications has been interviewing Mindy for the past 3 weeks. They kept telling her that they were very impressed with what she "brought to the table." She was thrilled with their compliments but was on edge about waiting to hear if she got the job or not! Finally, today they called and she will be joining their staff as an assistant! Praise God! Now she can pay her own way! We are so proud of her!
